This report synthesizes the proceedings of an international conference on the role of social capital in the inclusion of immigrants and members of ethno-cultural communities. The conference also identified the potential opportunities and challenges that a social capital perspective poses for public policy. In addition, policy expert Meyer Burstein provides a comprehensive analysis of the conference proceedings and of the potential policy role for social capital in this field.
