Moving forward - changing the safety and security culture : a strategic direction for safety and security management: T22-135/2007

This report outlines Transport Canada’s approach to safety and security management in transportation activities. The approach is based on establishing accountability; setting goals; applying a systematic approach to managing risks; and evaluating performance. It explains why a new approach is needed, what the department hopes to achieve with its new approach, and challenges and strategies for accomplishing its goals. An appendix breaks out the roles, programming, legislation, and approach of individual directorates.
