Analyzes intakes of vitamins A and D by Inuit and First Nations women in Nunavut and Ontario. It discusses the benefits and the effects of deficiencies of both vitamins, and the levels contained in the country foods of the communities surveyed. The report concludes that most women in all the pilot communities had an inadequate intake of vitamin A, and those in Ontario had low intake levels of vitamin D. Includes tables, figures, and a list of references.
