Fire safety procedures manual = Manuel sur la sécurité-incendie.: PS84-50/1989-PDF

The Fire Safety Procedures Manual is a recommended guideline which may be followed to achieve the objective of Commissioner's Directive 345, "Fire Safety", and supports Strategic Objective No. 1.4 of the Mission Document of the Service: "To provide an environment that is safe, secure and clean and which fosters positive interaction between staff and offenders." The recommended practices contained in this Manual, developed within the framework of standards and guidelines prescribed by the Office of the Fire Commissioner of Canada, have been published to assist Directors to ensure there is an operational capability within the Correctional Service of Canada to meet the stated objectives. Awareness of the fire safety problem and the responsible application of these standards by all personnel will enable the Service to meet the objectives successfully. The full cooperation of all employees is necessary in making this Fire Safety Program a success.
