Living arrangements of older persons in Canada : effects on their socio-economic conditions.CS89-0112/1998E-PDF

The purpose of this monograph is to provide a general picture of the economic and social conditions of seniors in Canada today, taking their living arrangements into account. The present report has been divided into five chapters. The first relates to the demographic, economic and social trends, the second to the living arrangements of older persons, the third to work and retirement, the fourth to their sources of income and the fifth to their housing conditions. Finally, readers will find the technical annex and detailed tables drawn up in accordance with PAU standards that have been used for the preparation of this report and a few extra figures in the Appendix.
