"For statistical purposes the industry entitled Boiler and Plate Works (SIC 301) in the 1970 Standard Industrial Classification, comprises the operations of establishments primarily engaged in the manufacture of heating and power boilers, except cast iron sectional heating boilers, storage tanks, pressure tanks, smokestacks, plate work and similar boiler-shop products"--Introduction, 1980.
