"At Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) bridges and dams are classified as engineering assets, which are defined as any land or marine assets for which PWGSC is the custodian. All of the engineering assets under the responsibility of the Engineering Assets Strategy Sector, PWGSC are managed as a portfolio. This portfolio includes 15 major engineering assets that meet the definition of bridges or dams to be preserved under the Real Property Branch Bridge Inspection and Evaluation Policy and the Real Property Branch Dam Inspection and Evaluation Policy.
