The statistical tables compiled from these questions have been previously issued in separate census bulletins, Bulletin No. 17 dealing with School Attendance and Bulletin No. 18 with Literacy. The statistics have also been included in further elaboration in Volume II of the Census Report. The present report is a descriptive examination and interpretation of these statistics"--Preface.
