Fertility of the population of Canada : a study based on the Census of 1931 and supplementary data / by W. R. Tracey.: CS98-1931CM-3E-PDF
"Owing to the short period of observation covered by the data on Vital Statistics for Canada as a whole, this study is intended to be fundamental to future studies rather than a means of arriving at conclusions about the trend and incidences of fertility. Consequently, the great part of it is a collection, arrangement and summary of facts covering this period that have not yet appeared in print. It was found necessary to draw some conclusions tentatively at least. These will be found in the Summary, page 15. The monograph is divided into two parts. Part I dealing with the general trend of fertility and Part II with differential fertility as incidental to racial, birthplace and regional distributionsˆ--Pref., p. 3.
