"The survey of child care arrangements was conducted as a supplement to the Labour Force Survey in February 1981 and was designed to generate data on: the types of non-parental child care used; the quantity of services used (hours per week); the cost of these services; selected qualitative indicators such as reasons for choosing the arrangements utilized, satisfaction with the arrangements, problems (if any) relating to the labour force participation of the mother posed by the available arrangements, and total household income"--p.
