Résumé of reports of the Indian Act consultation meetings .: R5-212/1969E-PDF

"The recent consultation meetings held with the Indian people across Canada produced many expressions of the needs of the Indians with respect to the Indian Act. The papers which follow are an attempt to collate these views by broad subject area, so that there might be an indication in capsule form of what was said at the meetings and reported upon at much greater length in the Reports of the Consultation Meetings. The papers are not meant, however, to represent a formal summary of the proceedings of the regional meetings as any formal summary necessarily will await the conclusions reached by the delegates at the National Meeting."--Foreword.
