"The Nominal Roll provides for a computerized record update of every student under Departmental responsibility in the elementary and secondary schools. It replaced the statistics compiled manually from the Principal's Annual Reports, and the Census File Cards, and also replaced the computerized record update of the Student Registration Survey. Consequently, these series have been discontinued beginning with the school year 1974-75. The reports on the achievements and destinations of school leavers and Federal Schools Facts and Figures are also compiled from the Nominal Roll."--Introduction, p. 2.
