"The purpose of this paper is to document issues involved in comparing the differences over time in the data from the 1986 General Social Survey on Time Use (Cycle 2) to the 1992 General Social Survey on Time Use (Cycle 7). It will discuss changes to the coding, reporting procedures and the time frame. It enumerates the classification changes at a detailed level for the 10 major activity groups and discusses the impact on the estimates"--Introduction.
