"This report presents the results of the Public Safety Canada (PS) 2016-17 Evaluation of the National Flagging System (NFS) Program. The NFS was established in 1995 to ensure that provincial/territorial Crown prosecutors were aware of the information held in other provinces/territories on high-risk, violent offenders. In 2007, PS implemented a grant program to support provinces in their efforts to create a national system. The grant component of the program currently is due to sunset on March 31, 2017"--Introd., p. 1.
