"The Environmental Optics Section at the National Water Research Institute has concerned itself with the study of inland lakes utilizing their optical properties as revealed from both in situ data collected beneath the air-water interfaces and remotely—sensed data collected above the air-water interface. This report focuses on the former, in particular on the in situ data collected by the Environmental Optics Section since 1973 in four of the Laurentian Great Lakes (no direct measurements were performed in Lake Michigan), and presents such data in the form of an optical atlas"--Exec. summary.
