"Varying amounts of toxic contaminants have entered Lake Ontario from the Niagara River since 1909 and these contaminants represent a potential hazard to drinking water and fish populations. ... In this paper, results from TOXFATE, a simulation model, are compared to field measurements for four chlorinated organic compounds for Lake Ontario.
