"In December 2016, the Prime Minister announced a number of initiatives to embrace opportunities and confront challenges in the changing Arctic including a new Arctic Policy Framework to be co-developed with Indigenous, territorial and provincial partners that will replace Canada's Northern Strategy and the Statement on Canada's Arctic Foreign Policy.
