"Business continuity planning (BCP) is a proactive planning process that ensures critical services, or products, are delivered during a disruption. The Parks Canada Agency’s (The Agency’s) BCP Program was established in late 2008 with the approval of the PCA BCP Program Directive which was followed by defining the Agency’s six critical services: public safety services, forest fire management, flood control, highway management, townsite management and law enforcement. The purpose of this audit was to provide assurance to senior management that the management control framework for BCP is in place, and that practices and procedures are compliant with the Emergency Management Act and the BCP policy suite, which includes all applicable Treasury Board (TB) and the Agency policies"--Executive summary, p. 5-6.
