The Council launched the Market Access Strategy in 2013. Therefore the scope of this evaluation of the Market Access Strategy is two years: 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. The purpose of the Strategy is to expand national and international market access for works from those communities, contribute to the development of new markets and strengthen the ability of artists and arts organizations to access these markets. Aligned with this purpose, the Council allocated $264,475 to arts organizations and artists in 2013-14 and $493,705 to arts organizations and artists in 2014-15"--Executive summary, p. 3.
