The objectives of the study were: to contribute to the understanding of the issues involved with the EIA controversies surrounding the Oldman Dam and Rafferty-Alameda projects; to contribute to the understanding of the issues involved with evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency and fairness of EIA processes with respect to these two projects; and to make recommendations for improvements to EIA processes in Alberta and Saskatchewan"--Introd., p.
