"This [first] study traces the evolution of the Canadian lighthouse from the first structure at Louisbourg to the latest developments in lighthouse design and technology within the past decade.The treatment is regional, with emphasison the older extant structures. An appendix lists data on individual lighthouses within regional agencies ... [The second study describes] the table glass from Fort Amherst .. a good representation of English glass in the third quarter of the 18th century. ... [The third study concerns] the 19th-century waterfront buildings [which] occupy two wharfs extending east from Water Street into Halifax Harbour"--p. 7, 110, and 119.
