Strychnine and its associated end-use products (ground squirrel use) : consultation document.: H113-27/2018-13E-PDF

"Strychnine is the active ingredient in restricted-class products applied as baits to control certain types of ground squirrels (Richardson’s, Columbian, Franklin’s, and thirteen-lined ground squirrels). This document presents the proposed regulatory decision specifically for the re-evaluation of ground squirrel use of strychnine, including the proposed risk mitigation measures to further protect the environment, as well as the science evaluation on which the proposed decision was based. All products containing strychnine that are registered to control ground squirrels in Canada are subject to this proposed re-evaluation decision"--P. 1.
