"Bill C-14, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and to make related amendments to other Acts (medical assistance in dying) was introduced in the House of Commons on 14 April 2016 by the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice. It passed second reading on 4 May and was referred to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights. The committee reported the bill back with amendments on 12 May, and the bill was passed by the House of Commons on 31 May"--Background, p. 1.
