"On August 4th, at approximately 1030 PDT dry lightning struck the Clearwater Ranger District and in the chain of events that followed lightning occurring on the 4th resulted in over 200 forest fires being reported by the 8th. The following is a sequence of meteorological and presentation events commencing the afternoon of Thursday, August 3rd."
