"Since 1 June 2018, the United States has applied illegal tariffs of 25% and 10% on certain Canadian steel and aluminum products, respectively. These tariffs--often known as section 232 tariffs--are being applied as a consequence of an investigation undertaken pursuant to section 232 of the United States' Trade Expansion Act of 1962"--Introduction, page 3.
