"This guidance document provides information about how to ensure that the health products you bring into Canada for commercial use meet the regulatory requirements of the Food and Drugs Act (Act) and its associated Regulations at the time of import. The guidance also provides information about exporting health products from Canada for commercial use. Health products include active pharmaceutical ingredients; human drugs; veterinary drugs; medical devices; natural health products; blood and blood components for transfusion; and human cells, tissues and organs for transplantation. This guidance: defines commercial use; and outlines the requirements for importing and exporting health products into and out of Canada for commercial use"--Purpose, page 6.
