A bandwidth efficient frequency-hopped spread spectrum modulation study / by P.H. Wittke [and three others].: Co24-89/1985E-PDF

"A study of piecewise coherent, frequency-hopped, spread spectrum signals and their reception is carried out. The modulation is assumed to be coherent in the interval between frequency hops. A number of modulation schemes in which the signal between hops is a bandwidth efficient, partial response encoded, digital FM modulation, are considered, as the data modulation band occupancy must be compact in order for systems with a slow-to-medium hopping rate to have reasonable processing gain"--Abstract.
