"Two sampling trips were carried out on the lower Athabasca River, Peace River and Slave River as the first phase of a reconnaissance survey to study polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) downstream of the Suncor and Syncrude oil sands extraction plants on the Athabasca River north of Fort McMurray, Alberta, and to determine the impact of these operations relative to natural sources and upstream industrial activity"--Abstract.
