"Peyto Glacier ( 50° 40' N; 116° 34'W) is an International Hydrological Decade "Representative Basin" being studied by the Glaciology Division, Inland Waters Directorate. Continuous research on the glacier has been carried out each year since 1965; during this period mass balance (accumulation and ablation), meteorological, and hydrological data have been collected"--Introduction, page 1.
