"This brief report summarizes the data collected on the distribution and composition of the sediments of South Bay, Lake Huron. The investigation was initiated in 1969 as part of a comparative study of the composition of the sediments from each of the Great Lakes. South Bay was chosen as a sedimentary environment relatively unaffected by man's influence (Kemp et al., 1972)"--Introduction, page 1.
