Taxation of the incomes of married women / Douglas G. Hartle, Institute for the Quantitative Analysis of Social and Economic Policy, University of Toronto.Z1-1967/1-1-5E-PDF

"Thirty-nine briefs submitted to the Royal Commission on the Status of Women recommend one or more changes in the tax system. The present income tax system poses problems of serious concern to women. The Carter Commission recommended changes that some women believe would be even more unfortunate than the present provisions. These are the issues that are examined in this paper"--Introduction, pages [1], 3.
