"To help control the problem of lead-shot poisoning of birds, Canada will make new hunting regulations. In 1996 the new regulations will apply to National Wildlife Areas and non-toxic hunting zones only. In 1997 they will apply all across Canada. Under the new regulations it will be against the law to possess any shot but non-toxic shot for the purpose of hunting migratory game birds, and to hunt a migratory game bird using any shot but non-toxic shot"--Page [4].
