"This report examines Indigenous housing in urban, rural, and northern areas, an expression which is taken to refer to Indigenous housing in all areas of Canada other than on reserves. This report is intended to provide an analysis of unmet Indigenous housing need and homelessness in these areas, and of government spending to address those issues. The report ends with a range of estimated costs for addressing housing need to various extents under various programs. This report was prepared at the request of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (HUMA)."--Page 5, Introduction."The following tables provide additional information regarding issues raised following the publication of this report."--Page 1, Supplementary information.
