Sulfur yields of Quebec rivers / Mary E. Thompson.: En13-5/83-22E-PDF

"The long term average sulfur-yields of rivers in southern Quebec have been calculated using mean sulfate concentrations-times runoff for gauged rivers. The areal distribution of sulfur-yields agrees well with the known pattern of atmospheric wet deposition. In heavily populated areas, however, especially in the St, Lawrence Lowlands, there is considerably more sulfur than can be attributed to wet deposition"--Abstract.
