"The National Defence Act (NDA) (Sections 2 and 38-41) establishes NPP as a unique type of Crown property, and establishes its purpose to provide benefit to serving and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and their families. NPP revenues from varied activities, such as messes, specialty interest activities, CANEX and SISIP Financial are retained as NPP to provide programs and services to members. The NPP organizations are not subject to the Financial Administration Act as specified in the NDA"--Introduction, page 1.
