"The remarkable growth of the wood composite panel sector constitutes one of the success storiesof the Canadian wood industry in the second half of the twentieth century — a success story that can be maintained well into the twenty-first century if we begin to prepare for it now. … This Technology Roadmap demonstrates that the sector's success has been driven by technology which has broadened the range of usable raw materials, reduced manufacturing costs and increased product quality.
