An annotated bibliography on cumulative effects assessment in northern river ecosystems / J. Brown, D.D. MacDonald, K.J. Cash and J.M. Culp.En37-564/2004E-PDF

"Recently, the Northern Rivers Ecosystem Initiative (NREI) was launched to further investigate the ecology of northern river systems and evaluate the effects of human activities on aquatic resources. The development of a framework for conducting cumulative effects assessments has been identified as a high priority goal under this program. To that end, a review of the published literature was conducted to identify relevant references on cumulative impact assessment and to support an evaluation of their applications in northern river ecosystems. The information that was obtained during the literature search is summarized in this annotated bibliography on cumulative effects assessment"--page 2.
