Cost estimation using three point estimates / by E.J. Emond.: D68-15/7-1985E-PDF

"This report describes a method of summing cost estimates to produce a probability distribution for the total cost. The method is well suited for practical use because the calculations are all done by computer and the analyst's input has been reduced to three easily understood estimates for each cost element ... The method is based on the assumption that the uncertainty in a cost element can be adequately described by a triangular distribution"--Introduction, page 2.
