The Canada Land Inventory : objectives, scope and organization.: En63-1/1978E-PDF

"The Canada Land Inventory is a comprehensive survey of land capability and use designed to provide a basis for resource and land use planning. It includes assessments of land capability for agriculture, forestry, recreation, wildlife, present land use, and pilot land use planning projects in each province. It was undertaken as a co-operative federal-provincial program and is administered under the Agricultural Rehabilitation and Development Act (ARDA) of June, 1961"--Page 1.
