"The Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program provides eligible First Nations and Inuit individuals with a limited range of medically necessary health-related goods and services not provided through other private or provincial/territorial health insurance plans. The benefits under the NIHB Program include pharmacy, dental services, vision care, medical transportation, health care premiums (Alberta and Pacific regions only) and other health care services (eg crisis mental health counselling)"--Mandate, page 2.
