"In 1995, the Government of Canada implemented the Ecological Gifts Program to advance private land conservation. Administered by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the program provides significant tax benefits to landowners who donate ecologically sensitive land, or a partial interest in that land (such as a conservation easement, covenant or servitude), to qualified recipients ...
