"Following a request from the Province of Alberta, investigations were carried out to determine the feasibility and cost of constructing flood control and water supply works along Parlby Creek. The studies indicated that the frequent floods which now occur could be controlled by the construction of two storage reservoirs of 8,680 acre feet and 10,000 acre feet respectively, in conjunction with extensive channel improvement works downstream from the reservoirs"--Synopsis.
