"A list of 135 species of fishes is presented for the marine waters of the Canadian Arctic, Canada's longest coast, with Inuktitut, French, and English vernaculars, and scientific names. Thirty-two more species are presented than in the last published list. Gaidropsarus argentatus, Gymnelus hemifasciatus, Gymnelus retrodorsalis, Lycodes sagittarius, Lumpenus lampretaeformis and Limanda proboscidea are reported from Arctic Canada for the first time. Inuktitut names are listed for over 50 species of Canadian fishes from Canada, Greenland, Alaska and Siberia. Thirty-eight marine and euryhaline families are included"--Abstract, page 10.
