"An electromagnetic geophysical survey was conducted over First Landing Lake in the vicinity of Rankin Inlet, Nunavut as part of a study on lake taliks. Survey results show areas of high electrical conductivity associated with the shallow lake terrace. High electrical conductivity is interpreted to result from sublacustrine saline permafrost. Saline permafrost will have a direct influence on permafrost dynamics and lake talik formation"--Summary, page i.
