"This review focuses on departmental implementation of directions received through the Orders in Council (OiC) issued pursuant to the Avoiding Complicity in Mistreatment by Foreign Entities Act (ACMFEA, ACA, or "the Act"). This is NSIRA's third annual assessment of the statutorily mandated implementation of the directions issued under the ACA. This year's review covers the 2021 calendar year and has been split into three sections. First, the review addresses the statutory obligations of all departments. Sections two and three of the review focus on in-depth analysis of how the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) have implemented the directions under the ACA.
