"Forecasts of predictand values based on linear regression equations do not necessarily meet requirements of individual consumers. But such forecasts carry implications which permit their modification and/or interpretation in terms of probability, and which consequently may enhance their value. These implications, and the possible use of an inflation factor (or constant multiplier) for modification, are explored"--Abstract.
