"Across Canada, hundreds of businesses, industries and government agencies depend on mobile communications to do their job. But today's mobile radios and mobile telephones generally serve the most populated areas, where many users are within close range of a base station. MSAT is a proposed new communications system that will bring two-way mobile service to all Canadians by using a satellite as a relay station in space"--Page [2].
