"This study examined disparities in early learning and child care (ELCC) use, types of care and barriers to access among vulnerable Canadian families using data from the 2023 Canadian Survey on Early Learning and Child Care. The analysis focused on children aged 1 to 5 years living in the provinces and explored differences among low-income, single-parent, racialized, Indigenous, rural and same-gender-parent families. Descriptive analyses and logistic regression models were used to assess child care participation, experiences finding care and associated consequences, while adjusting for sociodemographic factors. …"--Abstract, page 1.
