This Standing Committee report presents findings in a study of childhood obesity, with a particular focus on the federal government’s responsibility for First Nations and Inuit children. The committee examined the influence of a wide range of health determinants; looked at approaches adopted in the provinces, territories, and relevant countries; and aimed to define the federal government’s role. The report presents 13 recommendations for federal government action, as well as one dissenting opinion.
