A Western Abenaki dictionary : Volume 1: Abenaki-English / by Gordon M. Day. : NM95-21/128E

This is a dictionary of the Western Abenaki language as it is spoken in the last half of the twentieth century. Western Abenaki is a language of the Algonquian family spoken by the Abenakis whose homes are Odanak, Quebec and the Missisquoi region of the Champlain Valley. These Abenakis have been known to English writers as the Saint Francis Indians.--Preface
